AIT! |
|
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
Naamloos:
You are a great musician and the owner of Punch records label.
Could you please tell me when you started making music and what
kind of music it was? |
|
|
| |
Tairy Ceron: "Well,
I’ve started to study and play music when I was 8 years old.
I played saxophoon for many years, almost 15 years....and bass
guitar too.
I played many many kind of music, at the beginning I mostly
played jazz (classic and experimental), classica/synphonic, then
when I was 14 yo I’ve started to play death-metal, grind-core,
noise-rock, funky, punk.....in several bands.
When I was 18 yo I’ve finally understood an important thing....I
don’t like to play in a band, so I’ve started to play music alone.
The first solo project was “Today, I’m Dead”, that was a
death-industrial project, I’ve released 4 CDs and one EP ; almost
all that stuff was produced by the italian label “Slaughter
Productions” runned by my big friend Marco Corbelli aka Atrax
Morgue (R.I.P. my friend...)
Well, that project has been active until 2002 when I decided to
change style and start with “AIT!” |
|
|
| |
What are your influences? |
|
|
| |
"Mmh,
no specific influences, I think I’d been influenced by all music
listened during the years" |
|
|
| |
We all know you from Ait!, but your previous project “...today I”m
dead” was/is also very interesting but it differs very much
especcialy when we listen to the last Ait! stuff. Could you please
tell me something about this first project and why you stopped en
began with Ait!? |
|
|
| |
"I’ve
decided to stop with TIMD because I was quite bored, I was in
search of new ways to express myself my ideas in a “free-style”,
out of any music rules by labels etc I wished to play what I
feel/want." |
|
|
| |
Your two first albums have more industrial and militair sound
than the last album. Personally I think Romanitcismo Oltranzista
is more easy to acces than your previous works. Why did this
change? Is it beacuse it is easyer to perform it live ? |
|
|
| |
"You’re
right.
Well, sure is easier to perform the music of Romanticismo, also
because is almost impossible to perform the music of the previous
albums in a concert:))
But, obviously that’s not the reason because I’ve changed
“music-style”...
I think I’m walking a natural way, the first two albums are more
industrial/experimental, also because those were the first
experiments, I didn’t know yet what I was searching for....... OK,
I don’t know what I’m searching now too haha, I’m constatly in
search of new ways, of new experiences and expressions, anyway,
Romanticismo Oltranzista is for me the “most adult work” I did."
|
|
|
| |
 |
|
|
| |
I think your music is very romantic and tragic at the same time.
On the other hand its dark and a little bit scary. I think the way
you’re mixing it makes it so apart and when somebody has ever
listend to your music, he wouldn’t stop. Could you please tell
something more about it? Also, are you a romanticist? |
|
|
| |
"Yes
I think that’s true.
I’m a tragic man, dark inside and I’m deeply attracted by every
tragic aspect of this world.
Am I Romanticist? Romanticism is just a face, a side of
decadentism, full of desperations, sorrows and tragedy....so yes,
I think to be a romanticist."

First time I saw you with Novy Svet in Holland, you played
saxophone and I have to tell you, you stole my heart! Then first
time I saw Ait! live, It was in Leipzig on the Punch festival. For
the first time I’ve heard the songs from
"Romanitcismo
Oltranzista".
The whol crowd including me was amazed! and every show since then
had something special. How do you prepare for it? |
|
|
| |
"That
concert with Novy Svet was amazing ! It was so funny....that was
the first time after 11-12 years that I played the saxophoone
again
:)
The preparation for that concert was funny too, because Juergen
and Ulla told me “play what you want, listen these songs
then...let’s go with your fantasy”. Both Juergen and Ulla didn’t
hear my parts until that same night, in fact sometimes during the
concert, between the songs Juergen looked at me and softly said
“oh hoo yeah, cool this song” hahaa.
Preparation for my own concert is different: I think my concert is
more like a performance, also because as you know, I don’t play
anything, I just sing offering my entertaiment. So, I try to think
what I want communicate to the people, with actions/movements,
lights, videos and jokes ......
Yes, I repeat I don’t play concerts I make theatre/cabaret....and
believe me it’s great, because like in a real theatre opera I
receive different feedbacks from the audience and my performance
is also in order of them, performer and audience can be connected
enjoing together the show." |

Couple a months ago you were in Poland with the Apostazja
festival. For the Polish fans it was very special, because it was
your first gig in Poland. Have you been satisfied with this show?
And the Polish public? |
|
|
| |
"Oh
yes of course!
Polish fans are very hot!!! Frankly I didn’t think to have so much
fans in Poland, until that event.
That was a very nice night......
5 minutes before starting my show, people moved their chairs close
to the stage, to better enjoy the show, that was really great,
because I immediately perceived their interest and wish to
partecipate at the show, and as I told you these things are very
very important for me."
|
|
|
| |
You were in Poland a couple of days, what do you think about our
country? I heard from many people that they are suprised when they
visit poland for the first time, and you? Do you had an another
image of it? |
|
|
|
"Unfortunately
I have’t visited Poland so much...I’ve just walked a couple of
days on the streets of the centre of Poznan....
I Hope to have the chance to discover this country better in
future
:)" |
|
|
| |
When can we expect some new sounds from you and what would it be
like? Would it be different from the work you made till now? |
|
|
|
"I’m
working on new songs now.......I don’t know when the new album
should be ready yet, but I’ll start to play also some of these new
songs during the next events...
How the new album will sound? hehe good question......
I don’t know ! Everytime is a surprise for me too. I don’t like to
fix anything when I start a new album..." |
|
|
| |
When can we expect to see you again? Are you planing one more
Punch records festival? |
|
|
|
"I’m
receiving some good proposals from several countries here in
europe....well, the next event should be in Holland in august, in
occasion of the Summer Darkness festival, then everything will
start again in autumn, I suppose.
Punch festival: sure I want organize a new festival....I’m
organizing my ideas, and making the plan..." |
|
|
| |
 |
|
|
| |
And one more question, because youre a owner of Punch records
label, I’ve heard some gossips about
Novy Svet,
is it true that they stopped making music? |
|
|
| |
Mmh, I don’t like gossip....
I think it’s best if you ask this to them, you know, I want
respect their privacy |
